PLANNING/FACILITATING LEARNING
In my final practicum my students were tasked with a final project of becoming experts in an area of interest pertaining to the country of India. Their driving question was "How can where you live affect who you are?" We then showcased this as a celebration of learning in person for the other Grade 3 classes as well as their parents in a Flip Grid format.

My students were also able to travel to India through a Virtual reality experience to explore the culture and compare it to our own here in Canada!
To introduce my Grade 3's to our Fractured Fairytales Short Stories Unit I had a guest come in an do a Fairytale Escape Room with them. The students engagement was 100%!

In my 3rd year practicum Health class,I had my students collaborate to create "Friendship Soup", a lesson on building positive relationships and knowing what makes a good friend.

In my 3rd year practicum I had my students fracture a fairy tale and write their own short stories. The students then created a book and partnered up with students from the Kindergarten class to read to them.

This is a project that I did with the students in my 1st year practicum. The objective was to create models of Molecular Compounds and interpret chemical formulas. I decided to create a fun project using candy to demonstrate understanding of how these compounds look when certain elements are combined.

The students gave positive feedback and helped to confirm that visual hands on learning is important in making connections to the learning objective.
