Using video apps as a tool for advancing learning can be very beneficial. Recently, in our Ed Tech class, we experimented with iMovie. I found it to be a fun, interactive way to acquire new skills. It can help students to experience real-life examples of the material they are learning about. It can also help students to create engaging presentations to demonstrate their comprehension of abstract concepts. It is a great way to promote collaboration among your students. Creating videos can also help with alternative communication skills and help build confidence. I would use an app like iMovie as a creative way to wrap up a unit and assess my students comprehension of all the concepts they have learned. I also experimented with EdPuzzle. It is a great interactive tool to help students learn while the teacher can gather data for assessment. As well, it is a great way to integrate a flipped classroom and have the students watch the videos at home, which leaves more class time available for discussions. Below is an example of an EdPuzzle that I created. #EdPuzzle #EDTS325 #Edtech #flippedclassroom
